Startup Options

The advanced tab of the Preferences window allows you to set three options...

Check for new versions of CaseDetective automatically

With this option set CaseDetective will check to see if a newer version of the software is available for download. The check happens in the background the first time you run CaseDetective each day.

If a newer version is available a window will pop up to give you the option to get more information and download it.

For this option to work, you must have an active Internet connection when starting the application.

Show splash window at startup

If you don't fancy seeing our beautiful splash window every time CaseDetective starts up, uncheck this option.

This option is only available to registered users, during the trial period you can not disable the splash window.

Refresh data at startup

By default CaseDetective will attempt to refresh it's local data from the remote FogBugz database on startup, unckeck this option if you don't want this to happen.

This is very useful if you spend anytime disconnected from you network but still need to produce reports based on the data you got in the last refresh.
