Getting Started With CaseDetective for FogBugz
CaseDetective for FogBugz is a great way to get the most out of your data that is otherwise locked away in your FogBugz database.CaseDetective enables you to easily extract valuable information from your FogBugz database without needing to know any SQL or even how the database is organized. CaseDetective offers all the most important fields that you need for your reports, graphs and charts with a click of a button.
Tell CaseDetective About Your FogBugz Installation
When you first start CaseDetective you will be presented with the Connection tab of the Preferences window, where you specify how to connect to your FogBugz database and what your login details are for FogBugz.My Cases
When you first start using CaseDetective for FogBugz you'll initially be on the "My Cases" filter. The My Cases summary filter shows all the open cases assigned to you in FogBugz, if this is the very first time you've used CaseDetective you'll also see a bar graph of all the categories in your My Cases filter.Change Graphs
If you would like to see some other graphs, simply change the field type for the graph or the graph type using the pop-up menus under the graph.Seeing Case Details
By clicking the Switch View button that looks like a list of data on the left hand side of the toolbar you can switch to the details view. In the details view you get a list of the cases in the filter with a preview pane beneath the list showing details for the currently select case.While in the details view, use the View Options to set which fields you'd like to see and how to order them.
